I'm going to an au pair next week for 12 months, but if name meanings were accurate in the person's characteristics, what would each person in my host family be like?
Mum: Norah
Dad: Simon
Daughter: Chloe
Son: Jacob
Daughter: Delilah

Norah- An authorative person with strong paternal (not maternal) bent. Even though they have agood sense of humor they are so focused on getting the job done they dont have much time for lifes more genteel pleasures. Norahs are hard to offend they have very thick skin. They are very steady and purposeful with their two feet planted firmly to the ground. Norahs turn into super hero mode when a loved one is in need of assistance. They may not be very exciting but they are extroidanrly protective.
Simon- Quirky person who make lasting impressions. And have a very charming sense of humor. Very senisable, wise and ultracomplex. Simon is more likely to be observers more the doers and it shows in they way they accumalate data about their surroundings and use the information to futher their goals. Simon is so confident about his understanding of how the world works he oftens comes across as a little smug.
Chloe-Fastidious about her apperance Chloe likes to keep physically fit and well groomed. Chloe's fondness for petty details can border on the obsessive and while it may drive every body nuts it also would make her a wonderful doctor or lawyer. Chloe should not be provoked, they maybe patient and hopitable but she is no pushover. If you aren't willing to pay attention to her then its best not to get involved.
Jacob- Jacob is like those sour candies you have t put up with the sour bitterness before you get the sweet. Jacob may appear as the silent type but its only because they keep their deeper inner feelings under wraps. This is why many people are suprised to find that Jacob is actually quite sensative. They have a trademark charm that makes for a trouble free friendship. However Jacobs sometimes tend to provoke jealousy. It is true that people either love Jacob or hate Jacob
Delilah- Delilah has a ready source of laughter. She is relaxed, flexable and fun-loving. She's ready for adventure especially when it comes to the outdoors. However when Delilah in engrossed in something its best not to bother her until its all clear that she is finished what she was concerntrating so hard on. Delilah also rather work on her own, so she is always in control.
Cicily- Cicily tends to be very charming and poliet even when things aren't going her way. Cicily is quite compassionate toward the less fourtunate. They can be quite serious about how that conduct their buisness and tend to choose careers where they can work solo. Cicilys enjoy a challenge due to having such a sharp mind and since they aren't particularly patient should avoid professions where they have to get up close and intimate. Cicily is well organized and aren't ones to fuss over anything thats out of place.

Simon - would have a more grumpy demeanor, he would be very intelligent, reads books a lot, doesn't settle for less than the best, is rich and sort of snobby, isn't willing to change for anyone, set in his ways
Chloe - probably a very bubbly, outgoing girl, free spirit, popular in school, stereotypical blonde high school girl, not very bright but always happy, maybe is a cheerleader or a gymnast or dancer or something girly, doesn't play any sports, has a lot of friends and gets along with everyone
Jacob - your typical high school guy (or younger), eats a lot but gains no weight, plays soccer or football or whatever, maybe plays baseball in the spring, doesn't stand out as being really good looking or really smart or very good at anything but is just average in everything he does
Delilah - sweet, shy girl that is intelligent but doesn't branch out very often, she's pretty average as well but usually is ahead in school, also reads a lot, has a few good friends to confide in
Cicily - I've never heard of the name, it sounds great, where are you from?
These opinions and stereotypes were all based off of what or who that name makes me think of, good luck!
