Can someone tell me what their names mean? Does it have to due with Tatsunosuke sometimes being called Dragon Boy and Tetsunosuke being called Iron Boy?|||Tetsu means Iron.
Tatsu means Dragon.
Nosuke means Ending.|||Yes. Tetsu = iron and tatsu = dragon, and -nosuke is a historical/traditional name ending.

Which name meanings do you like better?
If you know what the names are, don't take that into perspective, just focus on the meanings(: thanks!
- lily meadow
- gracious star of the sea|||gracious star of the sea for sure! its mystical and intriguing, and puts a very very pretty image in my head :)
when you pick a best answer, could you share with us what the names are??|||Gracious star of the sea is very interesting and I find it better and more exciting, although either would be fine.|||Both meanings are very pretty. I think my favorite is gracious star of the sea because it just reminds me of something that would be so beautiful!|||Lily meadow sounds like it would be the most beautiful, serene place on earth. :)|||Gracious Star of the Sea sounds awesome, mysterious, and cool!|||Gracious star of the sea is very interesting and beautiful! What do you think of name meanings being nicknames?
I.E margret equals pearl|||Wouldn't work for me. Samantha means listener, and I don't think that makes a good nickname. I prefer Sam. Great idea with Pearl, though!|||It's a neat idea but you'll have to explain the meaning to anyone who asks.|||I like the idea!!!!|||that's cool
How can I mix different words to make a name which has the combined meanings of the "ingredient" words?
For example, let's say I wanted to make a name (as in a name one would give to a person) by combining two or more different words, so that the name had the all the meanings of each word combined (perhaps into a phrase) and have a few letters from each word? Is there any sort of program which can do this?
Thanks|||I think I know what you're looking for, but I've never been able to find a generator that did exactly that. Making do with what is available depends on how you are going to use the names or words you come up with.
You might be able to find a word scramble generator that will let you enter parts of words and produce a list of combinations, but you will have to approach it as though you are creating a puzzle. A domain name generator (like the one below) might let you play with parts of words a little, but to a limited extent. I'd also recommend trying unique baby name generators (on sites for expectant parents), or, better yet, one that is meant to help writers or rpg fans make up character and place names; any of those might have generators or combination techniques that can help.
Really, the easiest way to play with custom combinations is by hand. Just write out parts of the words you're considering on little slips of paper and mix them up. Say them out loud and keep moving them around until you find something that sounds good to you. It's easy, quick, free, and might be just the thing to help you think of what you want.
Once you have some combinations that you like, it's time to do some research. Look in dictionaries for similar words. Enter them in search engines. See if they're similar to an unfamiliar term, or mean something in another language. See what's out there!
If you're really concerned about keeping the meanings of the words you combine, make sure you understand their etymological roots. I hope you find what you're looking for! :)

Where do name meanings come from?
So Andrew means "warrior", and Amanda means "fit to be loved". Seriously, unless it's a translation from another language or something, then it doesn't actually mean anything, right?|||It really varies.
Some are biblical, some are literal translations, some are linked with people (such as queens or kings)
I named my son Jacob. Because its a biblical name, its meaning is "deceiver, the son of Isaac" Deceiver because of what he did to his twin brother in the bible, and he was the son of Isaac in the bible.
My daughter, Leila - her name means Night Beauty. But in Hawaii a Lei is a necklace. So no idea where the whole night beauty thing came from, logically it should have just been translated.|||Pretty much. But it could also be idiomatic, euphemistic, slang, association, etc. Eleanor is said to mean pity by some. That was because Eleanor of Aquitaine was to be pitied for the tragedies in her life.....
