Would some name meanings turn you off?

Would you ever change your mind about a name you thought was pretty, but had an unfortunate meaning? For instance,

Cecilia - "blind"

Claudia - "disabled"

Cameron - "crooked nose"

Emily - "rival"

Kelly - "war"

Leah - "weary"

Mallory - "luckless"

Marie - "bitter"

Portia - "pig"Would some name meanings turn you off?
Yes, actually. I don't judge names at face value. I'd want to know what it means before I bestow it upon someone or something. I want to make sure its fitting.
I pay little attention to the supposed meaning of a name. In my opinion the person who has that gives it meaning.

Unless the name inherently meant something like, "Crooked nose pig who blindly lead us and our bitter rivals into a weary war that left us luckless and with a disabled nation," I'm not bothered.Would some name meanings turn you off?
It really depends on how much I love the name. If its that important to me, then no, i probably wouldnt. However, if it were sort of a take it or leave it name, i probably wouldnt. For me, i actually still love Lia, (spelled like that, haha!) even if it means weary, and would like to use it maybe as a middle name! :) Having a nice meaning is just icing on the cake, you know?Would some name meanings turn you off?
The meanings of Cecilia and Claudia bother me the most. I know a blind person AND have a disabled cousin. It bothers me that they are not excepted and those words are thought of as bad things. They are two of the nicest, funniest people I know.
I think their name should have a good meaning, but if you love the name then it shouldn't matter.
My oh, my. WHAT IS THAT?!?! I loved those names before I knew what they meant.....uuhhhhh......wouldn't it be funny if someones name was Marie Mallory Portia....Bitter Luckless Pig....tehe:D
